Remote is seeking a Payroll Compliance Lead - APAC to ensure compliance with payroll and employment legislation in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The Compliance Lead will serve as the subject matter expert, proactively identifying risks, collaborating with internal teams, and providing guidance on compliance matters. This role involves resolving regulatory challenges, managing internal audits, and driving projects to improve global payroll capabilities.

Role involves:
  • Ensuring compliance with wage tax laws, social security regulations, and employment policies in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
  • Spearheading country-specific payroll audits, pinpointing risks and improvement areas, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Resolving compliance issues, partnering with tax authorities, legal advisors, and internal teams to address audits, disputes, and inquiries.
  • Acting as a strategic advisor to Payroll Operations and Product teams, ensuring robust and scalable payroll processes.
  • Driving process improvements and automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Leading high-impact projects to develop payroll processes, compliance frameworks, and operational strategies.
  • Delivering training and support on compliance to payroll and cross-functional teams.


Requirements:
  • Deep expertise in payroll legislation, employment tax, and social security regulations in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
  • Experience in payroll compliance, payroll operations, or payroll audit within a multinational environment.
  • Proven track record in managing regulatory compliance and handling authority audits.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and risk identification.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to drive meaningful change.
  • Fluency in English and at least one local language.
