Remote is seeking a Payroll Compliance Lead - APAC to play a crucial role in ensuring payroll compliance within the APAC region, with a focus on Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This position with Remote offers the opportunity to be a subject matter expert and drive strategic payroll improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the subject matter expert for payroll and employment legislation in Singapore, Malaysia & Philippines.
- Lead country-specific payroll audits, identifying risks and inefficiencies.
- Resolve compliance matters efficiently, engaging with tax authorities and legal advisors.
- Act as a strategic advisor to Payroll Operations and Product teams.
- Drive process improvements and automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and support high-impact projects, influencing payroll processes and compliance frameworks.
- Deliver training and support on compliance matters to cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in payroll legislation, employment tax, and social security regulations in Singapore, Malaysia & Philippines.
- Experience in payroll compliance, payroll operations, or payroll audit within a multinational environment.
- Proven track record in managing regulatory compliance and handling authority audits.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and risk identification.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and strategic mindset.
- Experience in leading process improvements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international, and asynchronous environment.
- Fluency in English and at least one local language.
