Payroll Compliance Lead - APAC at Remote

Remote is seeking a Payroll Compliance Lead for the APAC region. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert for payroll and employment legislation, primarily focusing on Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This role involves ensuring full compliance, driving strategic improvements, leading audits, identifying risks, and collaborating with internal teams. The Payroll Compliance Lead will support the Payroll Operations team and other key stakeholders by providing expert guidance on compliance matters, resolving regulatory challenges, and managing internal audits.

Responsibilities include:

• Being the technical lead on payroll and employment legislation.
• Leading country-specific payroll audits.
• Resolving compliance matters efficiently.
• Advising Payroll Operations and Product teams.
• Driving process improvements and automation.
• Leading and supporting high-impact projects.
• Delivering training and support on compliance matters.

Requirements include:

• Deep expertise in payroll legislation and employment tax in Singapore, Malaysia & Philippines
• Experience in payroll compliance, operations, or audit within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record in managing regulatory compliance and handling authority audits.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive and strategic mindset.
• Fluency in English and at least one local language.
