ExtraHop is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their growing team. This role is based in Canberra or Melbourne, Australia, and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge network detection and response (NDR) technology. The successful candidate will be a technical focal point, conducting product presentations and removing technology-related buying objections. Responsibilities include:
  • Assessing customer needs and uncovering requirements for ExtraHop’s Reveal(x) solution.
  • Demonstrating products to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinating technical product evaluations.
  • Articulating the technical value proposition to prospects and partners.
  • Leading architecture design discussions.
  • Preparing and presenting technical proposals and RFIs.
  • Collaborating with sales, product development, and product management teams.
  • Providing post-sales follow-up, technical training, and consulting.
  • Ensuring total customer satisfaction.
Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area.
  • Strong understanding of Network/Application security, analysis or incident response.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with network security, endpoint, IDS, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of enterprise security requirements.
  • Solid understanding of network security, endpoint, and SIEM technologies.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise-architecture concepts and risk.
  • Understanding of NIST and related standards.
  • Familiarity with scripting and VMware hypervisor.
  • Experience analyzing packet captures.
