Job Description
Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking an Inspection Operator for their Bloomington, Indiana facility. This role is within the Finishing/Packaging Complex and involves visually inspecting product containers, closures, and contents for defects, both manually and semi-automatically. The Inspector Operator contributes to maintaining high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
The role involves:
- Manually visually inspecting product in black & white booth or semi-automated inspection machine at established target rates or qualified speeds.
- Organizing and segregating rejects according to category of defect.
- Documenting all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) activities.
- Providing support and feedback to the manufacturing team to reduce/eliminate controllable defects.
- Assisting with the inspection of performance qualification/validation materials and Technical Services studies.
- Contributing to the inspection library when “new” defects or limit samples are discovered.
- Setting up, tearing down, and clearing the inspection area.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 6 months of previous Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Visual acuity 20/20 with or without corrective vision and ability to pass color blind test.
- Ability to understand, speak, read and write English.
- Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and math skills.
