Copper is seeking a Risk Manager to join their team in Zug, Switzerland. The Risk Manager will play a crucial role in protecting the company's assets, reputation, and stakeholders by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks.

The Risk Manager will be responsible for crafting and executing innovative risk management strategies for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, ensuring they align with the company's business goals and regulatory standards of FINMA.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor and analyze risk trends to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Implement risk control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures.
  • Lead risk management training sessions to enhance risk awareness across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure effective risk management practices.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to the executive team.
  • Support the MD of Copper Markets (AG) with risk assessment framework.
  • Assist in the design & implementation of quantitative & qualitative strategy & risk controls.
  • Ensure the protection of the business with the operational effectiveness of Risk systems & procedures.
  • Assist with the management of resilience programmes

Requirements:

  • Extensive professional experience in risk management, governance, and security, preferably in fintech or a regulated environment.
  • Strong awareness of process, controls, systems, and technology relevant to a fintech business.
  • Understanding of operational, technical, market, and liquidity risk.
  • Working knowledge of main regulatory frameworks relating to Risk.
  • Ability to assert, influence, and clearly articulate risks and issues to non-risk members of staff.
  • Strong operational risk acumen, including the perceptiveness to identify early key risk indicators.
  • Lead and drive controls across products and functions.
  • Ability to manage through influence, having the soft skills required to form meaningful cross functional relationships.
