Director of Engineering

Job Description

Eucalyptus is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the day-to-day operations of its engineering team. The Director will be responsible for building the platform to solve the world’s toughest healthcare challenges. The company plans to double the team in the first half of next year, growing it from 20 to 40 people.This senior leader will be responsible for both technical direction and team management, working closely with senior executives to develop and execute an engineering strategy that aligns with overall goals.What this role involves:

• Growing individuals through coaching and performance management.
• Growing the team by hiring high-quality engineers.
• Driving and executing outcomes using workforce planning initiatives.
• Leading and inspiring the team, driving vision and strategy.

Requirements:

• Several years in a manager-or-above role at startups, scale-ups, or software companies.
• Experience managing, building, and maintaining high-performance engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, product designers, and other business teams.
• Passion for inspiring and leading teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Technical background as a full-stack senior engineer.
