ClickUp seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Docs team. The engineer will design and deliver scalable distributed shared services. ClickUp values ambition, grit, and a passion for improving productivity.
The Role Involves:
- Implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers.
- Writing efficient SQL queries for app use, reporting, and data integrity.
- Identifying and troubleshooting errors and performance issues.
- Designing and building systems for maximum performance and scalability.
- Working closely with frontend, QA, and product teams.
- Conceptualizing the infrastructure and its components.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining APIs in a production environment (Node.js preferred).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with AWS or another cloud service.
- Strong self-starter, operationally-focused, and problem-solver.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
