ClickUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Docs team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable distributed shared services utilized by other engineering teams. This individual will thrive in a collaborative environment, tackling new challenges with a pragmatic and accountable approach.Role responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers.
- Writing efficient SQL queries for application use, data reporting, and database management.
- Identifying and troubleshooting errors and performance issues.
- Participating in the design and construction of high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems.
- Collaborating with frontend, quality assurance, and product teams.
- Conceptualizing the entire infrastructure and its interworking parts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining APIs in a production environment (Node.js preferred).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with AWS or another cloud service.
- Strong self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Opportunity to work on real time collaboration systems (desirable).
