ClickUp, a rapidly growing SaaS company, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Docs team. The engineer will contribute to designing and delivering scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams.

The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers. They will write efficient SQL queries, identify and troubleshoot errors, and participate in designing systems for maximum performance. The engineer will also collaborate with frontend, quality assurance, and product teams and conceptualize the infrastructure's various parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers.
  • Writing efficient SQL queries.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting errors and performance issues.
  • Participating in designing and building systems.
  • Collaborating with frontend, quality assurance, and product teams.
  • Conceptualizing infrastructure components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining API's in a production-level environment (preferably with Node.js).
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with AWS or another cloud service.
  • Strong self-starter and problem-solver.
  • Excellent communication skills.
