ClickUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Docs team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams. The ideal candidate is accountable, pragmatic, and thrives in collaborative environments.Role involves:
- Implementing and maintaining API endpoints, services, and workers.
- Writing efficient SQL queries for application use, reporting, and data integrity.
- Identifying and troubleshooting errors and performance issues.
- Participating in designing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborating with frontend, QA, and product teams.
- Conceptualizing the various parts of the infrastructure and their interactions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining APIs in a production-level environment (preferably with Node.js).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).
- Experience with AWS or another cloud service.
- Strong self-starter with operational focus and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
