Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join their Chat team. This role involves building innovative solutions for millions of Redditors worldwide, focusing on making synchronous conversations a core part of the Reddit community experience. The successful candidate will work on a high-impact project with wide visibility.Reddit is built on communities where conversations are created daily on millions of different topics. The Chat team is striving to improve the user experience by providing a more casual way to communicate.Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Communicate effectively within the team and across disciplines.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to craft compelling user experiences.
• Contribute to team strategy and participate in planning.
• Participate in product reviews and team meetings.
• Help scope, estimate, and prioritize needs.
• Foster a healthy engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of Android development experience using Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with Android development frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
