Job Description
CookUnity is seeking a Food Safety Associate to ensure food safety and quality within its operations. This role involves communicating GMP rules to chefs, maintaining training rosters, conducting audits, and monitoring facility compliance. The Food Safety Associate will work closely with various departments to address food safety and quality issues and ensure the facility is inspection-ready.Responsibilities:
  • Communicate kitchen GMP rules to Chefs
  • Maintain training roster for employees and chef teams
  • Perform daily and monthly audits on chef teams GMP
  • Ensure proper labeling of items in coolers and freezers
  • Perform weekly thermometer calibrations
Requirements:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Previous experience in food production or food service
  • Positive attitude and commitment to doing the right thing
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in G Suite/Google Workspace
  • ANSI accredited food handler certification or willingness to complete within 1 week
  • Ability to work 30+ hours per week.
