Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Counsel, Commercial to join their growing commercial legal team and support the Communications Business Unit. The Counsel will partner with the enterprise sales team, managing the full life-cycle negotiation of complex enterprise sales deals.Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and managing a wide range of legal agreements.
- Advising Twilio’s internal clients on contract interpretation and negotiation.
- Championing Twilio’s mission, ethics, and integrity.
- Understanding the context of Twilio’s customers and internal clients.
- Evaluating and prioritizing matters needing attention.
Qualifications include:
- J.D. with strong academic credentials.
- Member of local bar or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel.
- 5+ years of commercial transactions experience.
- Experience supporting a large sales organization.
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts.
- Entrepreneurial, quick-thinking, pragmatic advice.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to triage a heavy workload.
