Payroll Country Lead, Global Payroll - Nordics at Remote

Remote is seeking a Payroll Operations Country Lead to join their Payroll team. This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the global employment space. The Payroll Country Lead will be a subject matter expert for the Nordics region, responsible for the planning, execution, and monitoring of global payroll implementation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of global payroll implementation projects.
• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans & timelines.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the implementation process.
• Developing and implementing standardized payroll processes and procedures.
• Providing ongoing support to resolve any issues or challenges.
• Supporting the country manager and ops team.
• Focusing on KPIs and SLAs.
• Implementing and improving processes.
• Mentoring and supporting payroll specialists.
• Working with internal teams to improve Remote's platform.

Requirements:

• Extensive payroll experience in a client payroll environment.
• Expert legislative knowledge in the Nordics region.
• Payroll implementation experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of local payroll tools and software.
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment.
• Experience in accounting/reconciliations.
• Fluent English.
