Cisco ThousandEyes is seeking a Research Intern to join their BGP research team. The intern will work with a full-time researcher on ongoing projects, innovate, design, and develop new algorithms to enhance the ThousandEyes BGP product. The selected candidate will collaborate with engineering and product teams to transition innovations from proof of concept to production.

Role involves:

  • Innovating, designing, and developing new algorithms.
  • Improving inference schemes within the ThousandEyes BGP product.
  • Collaborating with engineering and product teams.
  • Transitioning innovations from proof of concept to production.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala).
  • Solid Computer Science fundamentals and object-oriented design skills.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ongoing Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • Command of spoken and written English.
