The Software Engineer will work on the lending side of Built, partnering with financial institutions to streamline the construction lending industry. The Built platform processes a significant portion of U.S. construction spending, serving as a crucial link between lenders and borrowers.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver complex end-to-end solutions involving multiple components and teams.
• Assess technical solutions and provide recommendations on priorities and trade-offs.
• Lead large-scale refactors and system upgrades, managing risks in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Document system structures and processes for cross-team understanding.
• Serve as technical leaders and mentors, fostering collaboration.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful business outcomes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in core backend engineering, including scalable APIs, service design, and database modeling.
• Expertise in database design and performance optimization with relational and non-relational databases.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience designing and deploying systems using AWS services in production environments.
• Track record of success enabling engineering teams and business outcomes.
