Payroll Specialist Lead - Germany

Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to join their Global Payroll Operations Team in Germany. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the global employment space. The Payroll Specialist Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring data integrity, and implementing process improvements. They will also mentor payroll specialists and act as a subject matter expert for Germany.Remote is a company that solves modern organizations’ biggest challenge – navigating global employment compliantly with ease. • Managing existing relationships with key stakeholders within Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, Engineers.
• Processing full end to end payroll in-house, statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments and compliance.
• Ensuring full data integrity and quality.
• Focusing on KPIs and SLAs.
• Implementing and improving processes.
• Mentoring and supporting payroll specialists.
• Backing up regional managers during times of absence.

Requirements:

• Payroll management or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Proficiency in using software tools like SAP, Excel / Google Sheet.
• An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
• Productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work.
• Understanding the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously.
• Fluent English.
