VGW, an interactive entertainment company, is seeking a VP of Tax to lead its tax function. The VP of Tax will be responsible for tax planning & strategy, compliance, reporting, and risk management. This role involves developing tax strategies that align with the company's financial goals, maintaining compliance with tax regulations, and minimising tax liabilities through strategic planning.Role Involves:
  • Developing and implementing tax strategies.
  • Advising senior management on tax implications.
  • Managing all planning and compliance for corporate income taxes and indirect taxation.
  • Maintaining a tax internal controls environment.
  • Partnering with senior leaders across departments.
  • Managing relationships with tax authorities and overseeing audits.
  • Driving the use of technology to enhance compliance.
  • Leading and developing the tax team.
Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of experience in tax roles, with at least 5 years in a global tax leadership position.
  • Degree(s) in accounting/commerce or law.
  • Strong tax counsel experience in corporate international tax.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in employment tax legislation.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience in handling tax audits and negotiating with tax authorities.
