In this role, the candidate will empower developers with the tools and processes needed for maximum productivity and exceptional business value. The Senior Systems Engineer will champion DevOps practices, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and co-design platform solutions.

Viator requires candidates to have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineer
  • Experience leading infrastructure projects and mentoring engineers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with AWS services
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform
  • Experience with Helm
  • Comfort working with GitOps workflows
  • Solid Linux systems knowledge
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
  • A mindset for automating everything
  • Experience working with monitoring/logging tools or secrets management
  • Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and incident review processes
