Senior Systems Engineer (Viator)

Viator is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Engineering Platform Team. In this role, the candidate will empower developers with the tools and processes needed for maximum productivity and exceptional business value. The Senior Systems Engineer will champion DevOps practices, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and co-design platform solutions.

The role involves:

• Empowering developers with tools and processes

Viator requires candidates to have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineer
• Experience leading infrastructure projects and mentoring engineers
• Strong communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Strong experience with AWS services
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform
• Experience with Helm
• Comfort working with GitOps workflows
• Solid Linux systems knowledge
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• A mindset for automating everything
• Experience working with monitoring/logging tools or secrets management
• Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and incident review processes
