xAI is seeking a skilled Server Deployment Engineer to work onsite at their Memphis data center. The Server Deployment Engineer will be responsible for server hardware and system software. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in validating, testing, integrating, and provisioning server hardware. This role involves collaborating with system software teams and external vendors to ensure server quality, system health, and efficient server intake and provisioning.
Responsibilities include:
- Executing server testing and integration.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults.
- Maintaining compute and storage hardware intake.
- Developing and maintaining scripts and tools for automation.
- Leading technical discussions with vendors and internal teams.
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with server, storage, compute, and network hardware.
- Extensive experience in Linux/Unix environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet networking at scale.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
