xAI is seeking a Quality Lead to join their Human Data Training Team. This role is crucial for maintaining high data quality standards for AI models through process standardization, rubric creation, and audits. The Quality Lead will drive continuous improvement in data annotation, labeling, and training workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standardized workflows and guidelines for AI data annotation and labeling tasks.
- Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders to define quality expectations and present metrics and insights.
- Mentor teams on quality standards and collaborate cross-functionally to innovate tools for data quality enhancement.
- Identify process optimization opportunities and drive strategic initiatives.
- Develop strategies for organizational growth and profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years in operations management, quality control, or process improvement, ideally in AI.
- Experience managing large teams (30+ members) with a track record of exceeding KPIs.
- Knowledge of AI training workflows, data annotation, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in quality management tools, data analysis platforms, and project management software.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or similar for data analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical tools like Tableau or Power BI and quality frameworks.
