Job Description

xAI is seeking an AI Tutor - STEM Specialist to enhance the capabilities of their AI technologies. This is a remote position, available in both full-time and part-time.

The AI Tutor will collaborate with the technical team to support the training of new AI tasks. They'll refine annotation tools and select complex problems from STEM fields to improve model performance. The role requires adapting to a fast-paced environment and interpreting tasks based on evolving instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Use proprietary software to provide input/labels on defined projects.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality curated data.
  • Support training of new tasks.
  • Improve the design of efficient annotation tools.
  • Choose problems from STEM fields (mathematics, physics, computer science) and evaluate model responses.
  • Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on instructions.

Key Qualifications:

  • IMO medalist or Master's/PhD in a STEM field.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English language.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
  • Solid reading comprehension skills
  • Passion for technological advancements and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research experience with a publication.
  • AI Tutoring experience.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience in technical writing, journalism, or a professional writing setting.
