Job Description
xAI is seeking an AI Engineer to join their Enterprise team. This role involves working directly with end customers, owning strategy and execution, and delivering high-stakes projects. The engineer will work in a small team, functioning similarly to a hands-on AI startup CTO.Role involves:
  • Delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Benchmarking models and identifying weaknesses.
  • Improving model performance through prompt tuning or fine-tuning.
  • Analyzing request logs and prompt data.
  • Building internal tooling to automate tasks.
  • Improving xAI SDKs and developer documentation.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in AI or machine learning product implementation with APIs, back-end, and front-end interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Understanding of the HTTP protocol.
  • Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
