Job Description

xAI is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer - Multimodal to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prototyping and supporting research applications used internally for developing and testing new capabilities and research ideas. This role focuses on building user-friendly, performant data management and visualization interfaces, as well as creating research demos to explore multimodal AI products and iterate based on feedback. The candidate is expected to own the end-to-end experience of created applications and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping and supporting research applications for developing and testing new capabilities and research ideas.
  • Building data management and visualization interfaces.
  • Building research demos to explore new AI products.
  • Owning end-to-end application experience and collaborating cross-functionally.

Requirements:

  • Expert full-stack developer.
  • Experienced in standard software engineering best practices (CI/CD).
  • Familiar with real-time applications and multimodal foundational models.
  • Tech Stack: Python, TypeScript, React, Rust, gRPC
