Metacore, based in Helsinki and Berlin, is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into actionable insights. The role involves ensuring data is meticulously modeled and accurate, hence enabling teams to focus on value creation. The candidate will work within the Central Business & Analytics team, partnering with User Acquisition, New Games, and the Merge Mansion teams.

Metacore's Business & Analytics team is focused on building a modern data platform which unifies insights across all games and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Game Development, Marketing, and Finance teams to deliver analytics solutions
  • Developing and maintaining a scalable cloud data warehouse by leveraging dbt and Looker
  • Owning the data lifecycle from planning to data modeling
  • Optimizing and automating data pipelines and workflows
  • Sharing knowledge, driving improvement initiatives, and fostering collaboration across the Data discipline.
  • Ensuring data quality and a strong future vision

Requirements:

  • Experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Looker, GitHub
  • Advanced SQL proficiency and a proven track record in data analytics or engineering roles
  • Robust data modeling skills and understanding of methodologies
  • Software Engineering best practices
  • A stakeholder-focused mindset and skills at translating business needs into scalable, maintainable data models and analytics products.
  • Collaborative and mentoring spirit combined with ability to lead discussions and sharing knowledge with the team.
