GovOS, a leading provider of transaction and compliance software for state and local governments, is seeking a skilled Scala Software Engineer. The position is located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
The Scala Software Engineer will be an integral part of the Scala backend engineering team, contributing to all phases of software development. He will also maintain high quality standards of the projects.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and development of new features
- Maintain and improve existing functionality
- Participate in architectural discussions
- Support customer-facing teams with technical issues
- Perform code reviews and advocate for code cleanliness
- Enhance application monitoring functionality
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Scala or Java
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with relational databases and version control tools
- Experience developing web services
- Experience with Kubernetes and AWS (a plus)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog (a plus)
- Experience with Play Framework (a plus)
