Quality Engineer

Preservica is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their Agile Scrum team in Abingdon, UK. This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of remote work and regular office presence. The Quality Engineer will champion Preservica’s Quality Engineering culture and ensure high-quality releases.

The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with the feature team, promoting industry-standard QA techniques. They will also design, execute, and maintain test cases, extend automation capabilities, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure sprint work meets the highest QA standards.

Role Involves:

• Maintaining and increasing test coverage (manual and automated).
• Writing well-designed and maintainable tests.
• Attending Agile ceremonies and challenging the feature team.
• Designing, executing, and maintaining test scripts.
• Extending automation capabilities.
• Creating and executing manual test cases as needed.
• Staying updated with relevant methodologies and techniques.
• Sharing knowledge with QA and aligned teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering, software, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, including Scrum.
• 3+ years of testing experience in design and execution, focusing on automation.
• Strong test design skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to meet deadlines, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and collaborate effectively.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
