Job Description
Aetion is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their engineering organization. The successful candidate will be a critical member of the team, owning Aetion’s cloud-based, containerized infrastructure managed through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). They will support day-to-day operations, contribute to engineering projects, and help scale Aetion's products.
Role involves:
- Performing delivery and production support tasks.
- Streamlining automation and processes.
- Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining Aetion’s infrastructure.
- Building and maintaining development and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Developing automation frameworks.
- Contributing to complex engineering projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or developing distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, particularly AWS and Kubernetes.
- 3+ years developing in Python or Java.
- Proficiency in unix based shell scripting.
- 3+ years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & CI/CD Tools.
- 3+ years with cloud platforms (AWS required, GCP nice to have).
- 2+ years with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with proactive threat prevention, incident response, and implementing compliance programs.
- Experience working with SQL databases, big data platforms, and supporting big data pipelines.
- In-depth experience solving complex issues on Linux systems and/or within the JVM.
