Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician I-IV to join their Vehicle Integration team in Middle River, MD. The technician will be responsible for the installation of mechanical, electrical, and fluid components, as well as integrated systems testing of Neutron launch vehicles. The role requires a versatile skillset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, building rockets and satellites that enable ambitious space missions. The company's Electron rocket has provided reliable access to orbit since 2018, and Neutron will be their next reusable rocket.Responsibilities:
  • Install fluids, avionics, and other components onto the launch vehicle.
  • Troubleshoot and complete functional tests of the integrated launch vehicle.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to meet production and launch schedules.
  • Adhere to high precision standards in assembly tasks, including crimping, soldering, and harness termination.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure components and assemblies meet stringent workmanship standards.
  • Actively contribute to setting up local 5S work centers.
  • Manage multiple tasks and pivot onto exciting high-priority tasks.
Requirements:
  • Relevant industry experience (2+ years for Technician I, 5+ years for Technician II, 8+ years for Technician III, 12+ years for Technician IV).
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in assembly and testing of fluids, avionics, or vehicle components, and systems testing and troubleshooting.
