Technician I/II, Production

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Production Technician I/II to join their Space Systems team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves assisting in production, process improvements, and sustaining work within the PV CIC Production department. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual ready to tackle challenging projects and contribute to the future of space.Rocket Lab's Space Systems team is responsible for every satellite and satellite component made by Rocket Lab.What this role involves:

• Supporting sustaining activities to maximize yield and productivity of fab operation.
• Working with operations to maximize project completion.
• Assisting Engineering in qualification/troubleshooting of welding and glassing equipment.
• Assisting Engineering in training of new CIC operators.
• Assisting Engineering in writing work instructions / certification documents for the CIC area.
• Executing experiments or special operations on CIC products as directed by Engineering.

Requirements for Production Technician I:

• 2+ years of experience in at least ONE of the following: Manufacturing experience in a semiconductor fab, Military equipment maintenance experience, or Experience in electronics, mechanical troubleshooting, installation, repair of manufacturing equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Requirements for Production Technician II:

• 5+ years of experience in at least ONE of the following: Manufacturing experience in a semiconductor fab, Military equipment maintenance experience, or Experience in electronics, mechanical troubleshooting, installation, repair of manufacturing equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Nice to have:

• Experience writing and reviewing work instruction.
• Familiarity with trouble shooting procedures (RCCA).
• Familiarity with tack-welding.
• Experience with Programming, Vision systems, soldering, SQL, JMP, robotic automation tools.
• Excellent attention-to-detail.
• Excellent reading comprehension skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and possess the initiative to solve issue efficiently.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
