Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Job Description

Nubank is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join its Compliance Team in Mexico City. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth by identifying regulatory risks, implementing controls, and providing regulatory advisory to the business.

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will work closely with various teams to enhance compliance systems and processes, ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policies. They will also contribute to the development of new products and features from a compliance perspective, as well as act as a point of contact for regulators and auditors.

Responsibilities:

• Research regulations and manage projects for implementation.
• Manage projects related to new regulations and licensing.
• Lead efforts towards new financial licenses.
• Evaluate new products and features from a compliance perspective.
• Keep teams informed of requirements by researching and communicating guidelines.
• Provide regulatory advisory to other teams.
• Monitor and respond to inquiries from regulators and auditors.
• Create and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Liaise with teams to enhance compliance systems.
• Coordinate regulatory reviews or audits.
• Support in identifying regulatory gaps and tracking implementation.

Requirements:

• +7 years' experience in regulatory compliance, AML, or regulatory areas for Banks, SOFIPO, and/or Fintechs.
• Experience in filing and obtaining financial licenses.
• Experience with CNBV & Banxico regulatory requirements.
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Ability to conduct regulatory advisory and law interpretation.
• Ability to tackle complex problems involving regulatory, finance, and product aspects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Great team player with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
