Job Description
In The Pocket is seeking a Business Developer to focus on the public sector in Belgium. This role involves building and expanding relationships with decision-makers in Belgian public organizations, inspiring them with strategic and technical insights to guide their digital roadmaps. Backed by a seasoned sales and marketing team, the Business Developer will promote In The Pocket's digital products to the forefront of the public sector.
The Business Developer will collaborate with cross-functional product teams to address complex technical questions, identifying opportunities for new collaborations. They will attend networking events, draft go-to-market strategies, and negotiate complex deals, becoming a trusted advisor to clients.
What this role involves:
- Building and expanding relationships with public organizations
- Attending networking events for digital leaders in the public sector
- Inspiring digital decision-makers with clear digital improvement plans
- Winning tenders and framework contracts with internal pre-sales support
- Drafting go-to-market strategies with the sales and marketing team
- Negotiating and closing complex deals
Requirements:
- Experience selling services to digital leaders in the public sector
- Existing network of digital decision-makers in the public sector
- Thorough understanding of digital challenges and goals in the public sector
- Familiarity with public procurement processes
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities
- Experience working with stakeholders in complex environments
- Fluency in English and Dutch; French is a plus
