General Assembly is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a contract-to-hire role with a Fortune 500 insurance provider based in Chicago. The Business Systems Analyst will contribute to projects supporting various proprietary software applications that provide functionality to both external and internal customers. This role requires a strong understanding of project goals and the ability to delve into the details of project requests through research, SME interaction, and application analysis. The analyst will work within an Agile framework, providing team direction, implementing feedback, and ensuring software aligns with business needs. Effective communication through various channels, including face-to-face interactions, process diagrams, and requirement documentation, is crucial.This role involves:
- Understanding project goals and scopes.
- Researching RMA documentation.
- Communicating with SMEs and end-users.
- Working through the Agile process.
- Documenting requirements.
Requirements for this position include:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering (or Bootcamp certificate) and 1+ years of IT experience, or a High School Diploma/Equivalent and 3+ years of IT experience.
- Experience with process reengineering (e.g., LEAN/Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with process modeling tools.
- Knowledge of business systems integration.
