Senior Data Analytics Engineer at Rent the Runway

Rent the Runway is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join their Business Intelligence team in Galway, Ireland. The role involves enhancing the data ecosystem by ensuring scalable, well-structured, and high-quality datasets that drive insights across the business. The Senior Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing data models, developing ETL/ELT pipelines, and improving data infrastructure to support analytics and reporting. The role requires a blend of data modeling expertise, engineering best practices, and strong collaboration with other members of the team.

Rent the Runway established its European Technology Hub in Galway in April 2019. This role offers the opportunity to grow careers across several roles and career paths in Technology.

What this role involves:

• Partnering closely with cross-functional teams to identify data visibility gaps.
• Developing and optimizing core data models using DBT.
• Collaborating with Data Engineering to design, optimize, and maintain efficient data pipelines.
• Enhancing data validation and governance processes.
• Defining and monitoring key business KPIs.
• Supporting and administering BI tools (Looker, Heap, etc.).
• Contributing to data infrastructure improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with DBT.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with large, complex data sets.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Proficiency in SQL with experience optimizing queries in cloud-based data warehouses.
• Strong Looker development skills.
• Experience with code management and deployment on Github.
• Strong business acumen.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
