2025 Warsaw MI Data – Web Scraping Summer Internship at Point72

Point72 is seeking a Data Engineer Intern for a web scraping focused summer internship in Warsaw. The Market Intelligence team develops proprietary research products and provides data and research management services for investment teams. The intern will assist in building solutions for processing big and unstructured data, extracting, and ingesting data from websites using Compliance-approved web crawling tools.

Role involves:

• Creating scraping pipelines based on customer requests
• Developing tools, services, and workflows to enhance scrape development speed, efficiency, and stability
• Testing data and scrapes to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance
• Identifying and resolving scraping issues and breakages, as well as scaling scrapes as needed
• Partnering with compliance

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree (or expected completion in 2026) in CS, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline
• Experience or demonstrated interest in web scraping
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
• Strong experience in Python development
• Interest in working with data, big data problems, and cloud-based technologies
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
