Job Description

Point72 is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their Technology Team. This role will be a senior individual contributor, responsible for overseeing technical decisions and directing the architecture of AI/ML-related systems and services. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of AI/ML solutions that align with Point72's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable AI/ML architectures and systems
  • Make critical technical decisions to guide the direction of AI/ML projects
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and compliance to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing and new products
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance of AI/ML systems
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in AI/ML development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 10-15 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
