Rocket Lab is seeking a Production Planner II to join their Supply Chain team in Auckland, New Zealand. The Supply Chain team ensures the smooth flow of materials, products, and components, directly impacting the success of rocket and satellite programs.

The Production Planner will coordinate with various teams to ensure timely delivery of demands per the Master Production Schedule. This role involves managing shop floor inventory, resolving discrepancies, and contributing to impactful space missions. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, team-oriented, and proficient in ERP systems.

What the role involves:

  • Overseeing timely execution and control of shop floor work orders.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of production processes and ERP system management.
  • Ensuring accurate MRP production part data and develop order parameters.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and collaborate with engineers and planners.
  • Maintaining shop floor inventory integrity and resolve discrepancies.
  • Executing work order changes for Production Deviations.
  • Optimizing production lot sizes, material positioning, and BOM restructuring.
  • Generating and communicating production performance and cost reports.
  • Supporting and maintaining Production BOM development and MRP data integrity.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Production Planning, ideally in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math, and statistics.
  • Knowledge of planning-related ERP processes and MRP.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Team-oriented, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Adaptable player thriving in a fast-growing, uncertain environment.
