Job Description

Scale AI is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to their Enterprise team in London. This engineer will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI-powered applications on Scale's Generative AI Platform which provides foundational services and APIs, enabling businesses to seamlessly integrate AI into their operations at production scale.

The role involves bridging the gap between AI research and production, converting prototypes into scalable enterprise solutions. The Software Engineer will develop interactive AI applications and platform capabilities that redefine how businesses leverage AI.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and optimizing backend services for AI-driven applications.
  • Developing and refining features for Scale’s GenAI Platform.
  • Implementing scalable APIs and services in Python, using frameworks like FastAPI.
  • Building and maintaining full-stack web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
  • Integrating AI models and evaluation systems.
  • Managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • Shipping features at a rapid pace, ensuring high code quality and performance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience developing backend or full-stack applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies like Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
  • Experience making trade-offs between speed and quality.
  • Passion for AI and experience with AI-first applications.
  • Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), including containerized deployments and cloud services.
