Diligent is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead agile delivery teams and ensure the successful delivery of software solutions. The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for developing strategic AI-enhanced features for Diligent's flagship product. This role involves working closely with Product Management and UX peers to develop solutions for customers, capacity planning, and roadmap execution. The Engineering Manager will guide teams in Agile Software Delivery Processes, driving improvements and learning opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- Building a motivated high-performing team and mentoring team members.
- Driving a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
- Ensuring delivery priorities align with business objectives.
- Managing and escalating risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
- Communicating delivery status to stakeholders.
- Facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing within and between teams.
- Implementing a consistent estimation process.
- Ensuring Development teams work in sync with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering teams.
- Mentoring teams to approach complex technical problems.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in leadership/management.
- Strong technical background in software development.
- Experience in people management, mentoring, and coaching.
- Experience with QA processes and test automation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Resourceful and fast learner of new technologies and methods.
- Proven track record of delivering changes to large/complex products.
- Experience with and deep understanding of DevOps practices.
- Solid understanding of Agile development practices.
- Passion for technology and building high-performing organizations.
- Desire to deliver value to customers.
