Instructor Manager

Job Description

General Assembly is seeking an Instructor Manager to support high-quality learning experiences for its Bahrain team. The Instructor Manager will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and supporting instructional teams, which consist of industry professionals from fields like data science, software development, and design. This role involves working closely with local and global teams to ensure that classrooms are staffed with instructors who are eager to share their expertise with students.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing a diverse bench of instructional talent.
• Identifying and selecting qualified industry professionals.
• Partnering with the Senior Campus Operations Manager or Director for strategic hiring.
• Planning and staffing instructional teams.
• Facilitating onboarding for instructional team members.
• Maintaining coaching relationships with the instructional team.
• Implementing standards of instructional quality.
• Monitoring and managing course quality and progress.
• Cultivating meaningful relationships with instructors.

Requirements:

• Experience in managing multiple team members, ideally in education or corporate training.
• Experience leading hiring processes.
• Experience delivering and facilitating learning or training experiences.
• Ability to evaluate instruction and provide coaching.
• Experience in discussing and training educators in conversations about the life, and culture in Bahrain.
