General Assembly is seeking a Software Engineering Instructor to lead a part-time (24 week) Bootcamp in Singapore. The instructor will play a key role in the instructional team, guiding students through a transformational journey to become full-stack web developers. The role is delivered in a hybrid format, requiring the instructor to reside in Singapore and have the appropriate work authorization.

The instructor will work closely with the instructional team to guide students, facilitate a supportive community, and adapt the global curriculum. They will inspire students, provide feedback, and guide them through capstone projects. The curriculum covers front-end and back-end development, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React.js, Express.js, APIs, and databases.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching students and hosting office hours
  • Preparing lessons and materials
  • Providing feedback on student progress
  • Guiding students through capstone projects
  • Facilitating a positive classroom community

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working on a software development team
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science topics
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end development
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, SQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Authorization to work in Singapore
