Career Coach at General Assembly

General Assembly is seeking a Career Coach to support students and graduates as they transition into their job search. This is a 2-year contract role. The Career Coach will ensure students are supported as they start to think about their next professional steps and graduates are prepared and confident in their job search.

The Career Coach will work with students and graduates to develop market-specific career development curriculum and deliver programs and content appropriate for the tech industry. They will also strive to understand and engage the local tech scene and incorporate this community and perspective as much as possible. The Career Coach will deliver meaningful programs that meet the Outcomes Baseline Commitment.

Role involves:

• Managing a pipeline of students and graduates.
• Identifying and mitigating challenges for job seekers.
• Engaging the local tech scene.
• Coaching all job-seeking students & graduates.
• Educating students & graduates of immersive programs on skills needed to perform an effective job search.

Requirements:

• Minimum tenure of 18 months before transition to Senior Career Coach.
• Ability to manage a caseload of 100+ students.
• Excellent coaching knowledge.
