Mid-level Backend Software Engineer | CARE

Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Mid-level Backend Software Engineer to join its CARE team in Brazil. The company is a corporate wellness platform connecting employees to various fitness, mindfulness, and wellbeing services.

The role focuses on building AI-powered solutions, specifically generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLMs fine-tuning, and data pipelines.

The role involves:

• Working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Taking part in incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Following up on engineering and product KPIs.
• Designing and developing APIs for AI models.
• Ensuring seamless integration of AI applications with other systems.
• Inspiring others by caring for their own and their colleagues' well-being.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently on high scalable and distributed projects.
• Proven experience with projects where the scope is not clearly defined.
• Fast learner, easily adapting to new technologies quickly.
• Passionate about building reliable minimum viable products and pilots quickly.
