Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join its Technology and Product Team in Portugal. Wellhub is a corporate wellness platform connecting employees to fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition, and sleep resources.
The Senior Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining services with a focus on performance and scalability. They will build integrations among services and tools, support existing systems, and work in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services
- Build Integration among services and tools
- Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality
- Work in a collaborative and agile environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Experience in architecting large-scale web applications
- Experience with Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP)
- Experience developing RESTful web services
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (Java/Ruby/Go/C++/etc.)
- Communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in English
