Senior Software Engineer | CODE

Job Description

Wellhub is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their CODE team in Brazil. This role focuses on enhancing the consumer digital experience through challenges and gamification. The engineer will develop and maintain Wellhub's app and backend services, working closely with product, UX, and data teams.

• Deliver high-quality work on time
• Perform pull-request reviews and build reusable code
• Participate in architectural decisions
• Interact with product team and stakeholders
• Ensure successful deliveries and technical health
• Take ownership of critical features
• Mentor less experienced developers
• Troubleshoot production issues

• 5+ years of web development experience
• Experience designing complex web applications
• Experience developing RESTful web services
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages (Go, Scala, Kotlin, Java)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis)
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS)
• Experience with MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with AWS
• Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
