Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join its CARE team in Portugal. This role is focused on generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) + LLMs fine tuning, and API integrations. The Software Engineering Manager will design, develop, and implement generative AI-based applications, work with large language models (LLMs), and optimize RAG systems.
The role involves:
- Designing and developing APIs to interface with various AI models and services.
- Ensuring APIs are secure, scalable, and performant.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Participating in code reviews.
- Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements for the role include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in managing or technically leading a software engineering team.
- Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and related technologies.
- Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, or Go, or Java.
- Experience with API development and integration.
