LearnUpon is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week in the Dublin office. The Financial Controller will report to the VP of Finance and lead the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the monthly close process.
- Managing finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, tax, general ledger, and consolidations.
- Ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance and filings across various jurisdictions.
- Managing worldwide cash flows, including understanding FX exposure.
- Implementing improved vendor management processes.
- Leveraging technology to build scalable and sustainable processes.
- Overseeing the audit process.
- Participating in key strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA\ACA) with experience managing teams.
- Strong understanding of Irish GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Familiarity with tax compliance, filings, and local regulatory requirements.
- Solid experience in business operations and setting up systems and processes.
- Strong exposure to multiple entity consolidation and reporting.
- Results-oriented with a focus on agility.
- Passion for managing and developing teams.
