Job Description
Sotheby's, established in 1744, seeks a meticulous HR Coordinator for their New York office. This role serves as the initial point of contact for HR inquiries in the Americas, providing essential administrative support. The HR Coordinator maintains HR data, collaborates with the payroll team for precise payroll processing, and acts as a liaison between HR and payroll.Responsibilities include:
  • Adhering to payroll deadlines and maintaining backup folders.
  • Addressing payroll discrepancies with the payroll team.
  • Preparing and auditing weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
  • Supporting time tracking processes for the US/hourly population.
  • Coordinating the new hire process, ensuring paperwork completion and I-9 verifications.
  • Responding to employee inquiries via the HR-Americas inbox.
  • Processing employment verification requests and unemployment notices.
  • Managing data change requests within the HRIS, including compensation changes and promotions.
  • Assisting with onboarding new hires and executing Position Management directives.
  • Ensuring employee documents are uploaded to their profiles.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably with SuccessFactors HRIS.
  • Highly organized and motivated.
  • Discreet, dependable, and mature with high confidentiality standards.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
  • Strong professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and precise follow-through.
  • Ability to provide high quality employee experience.
Sotheby's offers:
  • A proposed base salary range of $60,000-$65,000.
