Planet is seeking an Account Executive, Defence & Intelligence to grow Planet’s Government sales pipeline and business in Government Intelligence, Defense and National Security institutions for South Korea and Taiwan.This role is based in Australia, Singapore or Malaysia.About the Role:
  • Developing a sales pipeline.
  • Collaborating with the Government Sales team and Leadership.
  • Working with Planet’s marketing team to run campaigns.
  • Prospecting and developing business relationships.
  • Managing the contracting and Government procurement process.
  • Working closely with pre-sales/solution architect staff to ensure technical validation.
  • Maintaining pipeline hygiene using Salesforce.com.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate professional experience
  • Demonstrated success finding and winning business with Government customers, such as the Ministry of Defense, an Intelligence account, or similar
  • Deep understanding of the value of commercial Earth Observation imagery
  • 4+ years of related experience in geospatial software, imagery or technical sales
  • 4+ years of experience selling to government customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM System
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the year
